Crossover and Campout
All Webelos Scouts joining Troop One are invited to come out to Manatoc Scout Reservation, Forester Cabin, by 5:00 pm on February 23. Parents and family should plan to attend with their scouts. Troop One will provide a great dinner for all. After dinner there will be a time in the Cabin called “meet the troop” where Boy Scout Leaders will be introduced. There will be some time for socializing, before the Webelos Scouts are led away on a short night hike which will end at the now famous Spectacular Campfire Crossover Ceremony in the council ring. Parents and family will be led to the Campfire circle to await the entrance of the Webelos. After the ceremony, the New Scouts are asked to stay the night with the Troop in Forester cabin. Parents may pick their new members of Troop One at the cabin at 9:30 am Sunday Feb. 24, unless other arrangements are cleared with Scoutmaster Steve Myers in advance.
Blue and Gold Banquet
Scouts from Troop One will be at your Blue and Gold Banquet to receive the New Members of Troop One when they crossover the stage for the last time in front of their old friends. Scouts who join will receive a Troop One Neckerchief and Boy Scout Handbook at that time. Contact Scoutmaster Steve Myers to make sure your pack is on our schedule.
Tuesday Nights starting February 26, 2008.
7:30 pm to 9:00 pm
Our newest scouts will attend regular weekly meetings of Troop One starting this night. They will be formed into patrols and will begin working and planning towards their first Boy Scout camping experience, which will take place at Camp Avery Hand on March 14-16.
