April 7-19 – Wright Patterson Air Force Base campout

May 15-17 – Tracy Ridge, PA

June 24-29  - Sleeping Bear Dunes High Adventure, MI

July 19-25  - BSA Summer Camp, Manatoc – All Scouts Must Attend!!!

Aug 21-23 – Geneva State Park, OH

Sept 11-13 - Kelley’s Island State Park (Family Campout)

 

Camping Policy – Asst. Scoutmaster Culp

3 weeks before - permission slip passed out

2 weeks before - money due (cash or checks)

1 week before - payments to patrol grubmasters (payments this night in cash only please)

Friday night – quartermaster in charge of travel

Sunday morning - quartermaster must dismiss all scouts

1 week after - clean up equipment, bring back all assigned equipment to quartermaster

 

Cooking and Cleaning – ASM Culp and QM Adv. Doug Jones

Each patrol makes menu, duty roster, buys food, provides stove, cooks meals and serves meals

Cleanup is by the three-pot method.  Scouts sleep in Troop supplied tents, but need …

 

Equipment needs for Camping – Quartermaster Advisor Doug Jones

Boots, sleeping bag in stuff sack, sleeping pad in stuff sack, pack or duffle,

eating kit, cleanup kit

 

Advancement  - Advancement Chairman Ken Kostura

Scout, Tenderfoot, Second Class, First Class, Star, Life, Eagle

Scouts below First Class must bring their book and get it signed by boy leaders.

No earned advancement is official until it is recorded in the computer.

Applications, Permission slips, medicine permissions, Class I and Class II health forms

Guide to Safe Scouting followed, leader certifications expected.

Parents must

Be committee members and assistant scoutmasters

Be drivers or campers or doers

Be Merit Badge Counselors
