100% Boys get Boys Life
subscriptions. 2.
Earn the Centennial Quality Awards
for the years 2010 through 2011 and
secure the patches. 3.
Earn the BSA National Outdoor
Challenge Award by the end of December 2010
and secure the ribbon. 4.
Maintain a Troop Ethic of ‘Leave no
Trace’ outdoor activities and provide
multiple training opportunities in the coming year and help 5 scouts
earn the
Leave No Trace Achievement Award. 5.
Provide a program for all First
Class Scouts to allow them to enhance
their scouting skills, hold their interest and provide for fun based in
part on
the Boy Scout Fieldbook and Venturer and Ranger Handbooks at every
meeting. 6.
Provide a program that will allow
all currently registered scouts be
First Class or higher by the September Court of Honor. 7.
Do at least four significant
conservation service projects in the coming
year. At
least one of these service
projects will benefit First Baptist Church and at least one will be on
a troop
campout. 8.
Earn again the Manatoc Retreat Flag
at Summer Camp, ideally on the first
night. 9.
Encourage Order of the Arrow
awareness among Scouts and participation in
OA activities by OA members and have the Troop OA representative hold
meetings
four weeks in advance of all OA fellowships. 10.
At least 90% of active and
available scouts go to summer camp. 11.
Encourage strong
participation by each patrol in fundraisers and add one additional
fundraiser. 12.
The program at camp is tied
to the monthly feature. We will program camps differently for new,
experienced,
and venture scouts. 13.
Support the Cub Scout packs
by offering assistance for at least two events and supplying den chiefs
to the
packs, plus offer Webelos opportunities to attend with troop when
practical. 14.
The quartermasters will
conduct training for all scouts on troop gear. 15.
The troop will present these
goals at each monthly PLC planning conference. 16.
The Scribes will keep track
and support attendance and the proper wearing of the uniform by
collecting
completed Green Cards at all Troop Meetings.
The scribe will report at each monthly PLC. 17.
Provide a variety of
scheduled games and activities at meetings tied to the monthly program
feature
once a month. 18.
Once each quarter the Troop
program will include activities that reinforce the Scout skills learned
in the
Tenderfoot through First Class rank requirements. 19.
Every patrol will hold one
meeting every two months outside regular troop events. 20.
50% of the active troop
members have first aid merit badge by September 2011 and 50% are CPR
certified. The
Troop will earn the BSA
Ready and Prepared Award and each member will earn the Emergency
Preparedness
Award. 21.Encourage conservation
awareness and knowledge of the Hornaday Award in the troop.
Help 4 scouts earn the Hornaday Badge. |
