 Gerald Ford was the Only US President to become an Eagle Scout. He
earned that in that in 1927. Then went on to be awarded the
Distinguished Eagle Scout Award Distinguished Eagle Scout Award. His
DESA was awarded in May of 1970. He was the oldest living president.
President Ford Died Dec 26, 2006. He was 93 years and 165 days. He was
born 3 years after Scouting was organized in the USA and earned his
Eagle Scout in 1927 - He was 14 years old. (HT Rick Misanko)
